Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you'll operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and serve customers. Start a job that offers new experiences each day.

Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Less than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.50/hour
Wage Progression: Year 2 - $19.00, Year 3 - $19.50, Year 4 - $19.50, Year 5 - $20.50

Duties and Responsibilities: Must perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the leader
• Uphold security and confidentiality of documents and data
• Process customer purchases, clean, stock shelves, and merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Report product issues, inventory losses, and errors to management
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock accuracy
• Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves, rotate products, and create attractive displays following planograms
• Organize inventory, break down boxes, and operate machinery safely

Physical Demands:

• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk
• Stocker: Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and place products at various heights

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 or older
• Provide prompt, courteous customer service
• Perform cleaning duties to standards
• Interpret and apply policies
• Excellent verbal communication

• Manage time effectively
• Knowledge of company products and services

Additional for Cashiers:

• Operate cash register accurately
• Comply with alcohol sales regulations

Additional for Stockers:

• Operate equipment safely, including hand jacks, scrubbers, and balers
• Availability for morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Equivalent education and experience acceptable
