Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you'll operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and serve customers. Start a job that offers variety each day.

Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Less than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $19.00 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.50, Year 3 - $20.00, Year 4 - $20.00, Year 5 - $21.00

Duties and Responsibilities: Must perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the leader
• Uphold security and confidentiality of documents and data
• Perform other duties as assigned

* Process customer purchases, perform cleaning, stock shelves and merchandise displays
* Provide exceptional customer service
* Give feedback to management on products, inventory, scanning errors, and issues
* Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy
* Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness
• Follow merchandising planograms for displays
• Organize inventory and handle empty boxes
• Operate machinery following safety procedures

Physical Demands:

• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk
• Stocker: Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and place products at various heights

Qualifications:

• Perform cleaning to standards

* Cashier: Operate register accurately
* Comply with alcohol sales laws
* Stocker: Operate equipment safely, including jacks, scrubbers, balers
* Stockers should have morning availability, starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Equivalent knowledge through education and experience
