Enhance the ALDI Customer Shopping Experience

Join our team as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker and contribute to providing an excellent shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include operating registers or machinery, stocking shelves, maintaining store appearance, and serving customers. Position Details

• Type: Part-Time
• Average Hours: Less than 30 hours/week
• Starting Wage: $18.50/hour
• Wage Progression: Year 2 - $19.00; Year 3 - $19.50; Year 4 - $19.50; Year 5 - $20.50

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to supervisors
• Maintain security and confidentiality of documents and data
• Process customer transactions, perform cleaning, stock shelves, and organize displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Contribute to inventory management and monitor inventory accuracy
• Follow cash handling procedures to minimize losses

Stocker-Specific Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness
• Follow merchandising plans for displays
• Organize inventory and handle packaging materials
• Operate machinery safely following all safety protocols

Physical Demands

• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk within the store
• Stockers must be able to lift up to 45 pounds and operate equipment safely

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to perform cleaning and interpret company policies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective time management and product knowledge
• Specific to cashier: operate register efficiently and comply with alcohol sales regulations
• Specific to stocker: operate equipment safely, including hand jacks and balers, and be available for early morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; retail experience is a plus; relevant education and experience combined are acceptable.
