Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you'll operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and serve customers. Start a job that offers new challenges each day.

Position Details:

• Type: Part-Time
• Hours: Less than 30 hours/week
• Starting Wage: $17.50/hour
• Wage Progression: Year 2 - $18.00, Year 3 - $18.50, Year 4 - $18.50, Year 5 - $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with leadership
• Maintain security and confidentiality of documents and data
• Process customer transactions, stock shelves, and ensure store cleanliness
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers
• Report inventory issues and participate in inventory counts
• Follow cash handling policies to prevent losses

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness
• Follow merchandising planograms for attractive displays
• Organize inventory and handle packaging materials
• Operate machinery safely and adhere to safety protocols

Physical Demands:

• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk
• Stockers must lift up to 45 pounds and work at various heights

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 or older
• Provide courteous customer service
• Perform cleaning and follow policies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Effective time management
• Knowledge of company products and services
• Cashiers must operate registers accurately and comply with alcohol sale regulations
• Stockers must operate equipment safely, including hand jacks and floor scrubbers
• Availability for early morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred but not required
