Job summary

Smart & Final in San Diego is hiring a Part-Time Associate to join the store operations team at 355 San Diego. You will assist customers, stock shelves, operate a cash register, and help with carry-out services while maintaining a fast, friendly shopping environment.

The role reports to the Store Manager and requires reading, basic math, and reliable lifting up to 60 pounds. Prior cash handling and customer service experience is helpful; a Retail Management Certificate is a plus.

Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags and pricing codes.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, up to 60 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain store section, receive stock, price merchandise and rotate products.
• Operate a cash register and process transactions; assist customers to vehicles when needed.
• Perform basic bookkeeping and keep area clean and organized.
