Job summary

Smart & Final in Tustin is seeking a Part-Time Associate for the 726 Tustin location. Join our store operations team to stock merchandise, manage displays, cash register operations, and assist customers in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Starting rate is 16.90 per hour. You should read and write English, interact with the public and coworkers, follow pricing and labeling, and lift up to 60 pounds. Basic PC/Outlook skills and a Retail Management Certificate are a plus.

Qualifications

• Read and write English and interact with customers and coworkers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, pricing codes, and memos.
• Present information clearly to customers and colleagues in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a store section as assigned; stock merchandise, set up displays, and ensure correct pricing and labeling.
• Operate a cash register, process payments, and assist with refunds as directed by management.
• Keep store areas clean and sanitized; follow safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist customers by providing product information and helping with carry-out service to vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping tasks and document damaged goods and store supplies.
