Job summary

Smart & Final in Fullerton is seeking a Part-time Associate to join our store operations team. The role reports to the Store Manager and includes receiving inventory, stocking, operating a cash register, and maintaining clean, organized departments.

Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labeling, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and colleagues.
• Handle routine instructions with basic comprehension and follow-through.
• Capability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a store section and stock merchandise using proper equipment, ensure proper pricing and rotation.
• Clean and uphold sanitation standards in store and parking areas as directed.
• Operate a cash register, process payments and refunds, and verify eligibility for alcohol sales.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable assistance and help load customer purchases when needed.
• Perform basic bookkeeping and record damaged goods and store supplies.
