Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a part-time Steward at Embassy Suites Palm Beach Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Assist Stewarding Supervisor and Restaurant Outlets with cleaning and organizing Food and Beverage areas to ensure guest satisfaction.

Key duties include washing ware, polishing silver, maintaining equipment, and supporting kitchen operations. Must be able to lift up to 200 lbs and work a regular schedule in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of service ware and how to maintain it to complement guest experience.
• Ability to push/pull service carts weighing up to 150 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to transport heavy objects through a crowded room with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to grasp, lift and carry or push goods on a hand cart up to 200lbs with or without accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences (supervisors, coworkers, guests).

Responsibilities

• Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware for dish or pot machine.
• Wash all ware and place in storage areas as designated.
• Maintain dish machine cleanliness and water levels as hotel standards.
• Operation of burnishing machine to finish silverware.
• De-tarnish and polish silver for proper appearance.
• Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pans for cooks.
• Attend and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Other duties as assigned.
