Job summary

New York Edge is seeking a Part-Time Step Specialist to teach stepping and related arts in New York City public schools. You will develop rhythms using footsteps, spoken words, and hand claps, and guide groups through rehearsals and performances.

Experience in choreographing step-dancing and teaching youth is preferred. Strong safety awareness and ability to work with students in a school setting are essential.

Qualifications

• Must know step terminology, history, and resources for step study.
• Choreographing step-dancing and producing performances required.
• Experience teaching youth preferred.
• Must follow a curriculum.
• Must be responsible, reliable and punctual.
