Tutor Doctor of North Jersey seeks part-time STEM Tutors based in Ridgewood, NJ to support students in math and science at middle and high school levels.

Tutors deliver one-on-one sessions in-home, at libraries, or virtually, develop lesson plans, assess progress, and coordinate with families to fit schedules.

Flexibility for afternoon, evening, or weekend sessions; strong communication and reliability preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong subject-matter knowledge in math and science across grade levels.
• Experience planning lessons and adapting instruction to different learning styles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with families and students.
• Ability to tutor math and science at middle, high school, and college levels.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM or current enrollment in an advanced degree program.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring in core math and science subjects.
• Reinforce classroom learning and prep for quizzes and exams.
• Develop individualized lesson plans and track student progress.
• Support executive function skills and study planning.
• Communicate with families and staff to align expectations and schedules.
