JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Abington is hiring up to eight (8) part-time STEM Academy Teaching Assistants for an in-person high school math and science program at a community organization in Northeast Philadelphia. Responsibilities include classroom support and content tutoring in collaboration with faculty in STEM fields (Engineering, Math, Physics, IST, Computer Science). Activities will be from January 2024 to June 2025, with potential extensions. Work hours are typically between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on most weekdays, totaling 8-12 hours per week. Compensation is $18/hour, with opportunities for higher pay or additional hours for long-term participation.
