Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking a part-time Standardized Patient in Meridian, ID to support nursing students during simulations. You will accurately portray patient histories, emotions and physical findings to create realistic cases and provide feedback to students and faculty.

Training is provided; candidates must pass patient competencies. Flexible scheduling, reliability and willingness to travel to the Meridian facility are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule of appointments.
• Reliable transportation and travel to scheduled facility.
• Must portray patient scenarios accurately and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Portray all aspects of the patient scenario, including history, affect, and physical findings in a standardized, accurate, and reliable manner.
• Provide written and face-to-face verbal feedback to students and supervising faculty.
• Accept ongoing feedback and incorporate that feedback into case simulation.
• Respond to emails in a timely fashion.
• Be on time and keep scheduled appointments.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission.
