Part Time Staff Assistant - SUNY Broome's Enrollment Department is seeking candidates for a part-time, temporary position for Staff Assistant reporting to the Director of Admissions, Director of Marketing, Communications and Public Information and/or the Enrollment Management Coordinator, as needed. This position is 20 hours per week. This is a versatile position which may include supporting enrollment and admissions efforts across departments with the goal of attracting, enrolling and retaining prospective students.
Primary Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Assists in managing the official SUNY Broome Admissions email correspondence, phone calls, and the "Welcome Center" desk.
Assists with the general operations of Admissions, including but not limited to: reviewing applications and other forms specific to the department and traveling to events.
Meeting with potential students and their families.
Collecting data and preparing reports, mass student communications.
Assistance with workshops, seminars, and orientation.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Valid driver's license required.
Banner and Slate experience preferred. Additional training and education in the applicable administrative field is desirable.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
Additional Information
The hourly rate for this position is $25.60.
Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
