Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking an experienced podcast producer to lead end-to-end production for an established editorial operation. Responsibilities include identifying guests, researching interviews, recording, editing, and publishing while maintaining the show's voice and audience engagement.

You will collaborate across editorial, marketing, events, video, advertising, and production teams, manage calendars, ensure timely delivery, and contribute to audience growth through cross-channel promotion.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience producing consumer-facing podcasts.
• Ability to independently manage a production schedule with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Strong editorial judgment for topics and guests and ability to shape interviews.
• Experience collaborating with hosts, editors, and editorial leadership to develop high-quality programming.
• Knowledge of current trends in podcasting, including video podcasts and AI-driven audio.

Job description

This role is ideal for an experienced podcast producer who can quickly step into an established editorial operation, work independently, and collaborate across editorial, marketing, events, video, advertising, and production teams. The Senior Producer will be responsible for the end-to-end production of episodes, from identifying and booking compelling guests through research, recording, editing, and publishing, while helping maintain the show's editorial voice, quality, and audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end production of episodes, identifying and booking guests, researching interviews, preparing hosts, writing introductions and question lists, recording, editing, and mixing, obtaining approvals, as well as collaborating with product, production, and ad sales on the publishing process to ensure quality.
• Work closely with the client's editorial and on-air talent to develop compelling conversations with influential leaders, academics, and practitioners that deliver insights for senior executives on how they can better understand and solve the challenges they are facing at their organizations.
• Maintain the show's editorial calendar and production workflow, ensuring episodes are delivered on schedule and to a high editorial and technical standard.
• Support the production of related audio and video programming as needed, including ads, bonus episodes, and converting live conversations and events into podcast content
• Collaborate with video team to create full length and clip length video as needed

Audience Engagement & Growth

• Support the ongoing audience strategy, identifying opportunities to increase listenership, engagement, and connection with audiences.
• Collaborate with marketing and editorial teams on podcast promotion across social media, newsletters, video, and other channels.
• Help identify opportunities to repurpose successful conversations and live experiences into audio, video, social, newsletter, and other formats, working with the audience social media teams

Collaboration & Strategic Support

• Collaborate closely with editorial, product, technology, video, production, advertising, consumer marketing, and events teams.
• Attend editorial planning meetings
• Help ensure a smooth transition into and out of the temporary assignment, including documenting key workflows and maintaining continuity across production.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience producing consumer-facing podcasts, with demonstrated expertise in end-to-end production, recording, editing, and publishing. Experience in business, management, leadership, news, or other editorially driven programming is preferred.
• Proven ability to quickly step into an established podcast operation and independently manage a production schedule with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Strong editorial judgment, including the ability to identify compelling topics and guests, shape interviews, and determine which stories and conversations will resonate with a senior executive audience.
• Experience working closely with hosts, on-air talent, editors, and editorial leadership to develop and execute high-quality programming.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with video, marketing, advertising, events, technology, and production teams.
• Strong understanding of current trends in podcasting, including audience growth, video podcasts, AI-driven audio, social distribution, and emerging multimedia formats.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Audition, Descript and Squadcast preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and project-management skills, with the ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced editorial environment.
