Job summary

EPRI is seeking a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Student Engineer to assist with testing software for usability and documenting errors. This position is part-time, 20 hours per week and based at the California Home Office, Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities include testing EPRI software on Windows, Linux, and mobile platforms; using JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps; communicating with project managers and developers; entering data into bug databases; and maintaining virtual testing machines.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related field.
• Ability to work part-time (20 hours per week).
• Good knowledge of internet technologies and software security is a plus.
• Strong learning and troubleshooting aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Test EPRI software on Windows, Linux, and mobile platforms.
• Utilize JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps for defect tracking and reporting.
• Work with Project Managers and developers to understand requirements.
• Perform data entry into databases including bugs and source code.
• Maintain virtual testing machines.
