Big 5 Sporting Goods Corporation is seeking an Assistant Manager (Part-time) to lead store operations and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist customers, manage daily store duties, and support the Store Manager in achieving sales and service goals.

Candidates should be enthusiastic, sports-minded, and capable of handling a busy store floor. Flexible scheduling and opportunities for promotion are highlighted in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess basic organizational and/or applicable math skills.
• Detail-oriented and reliable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of sporting goods is a plus.
• Must possess High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Exam.

Responsibilities

• Operate store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries.
• Recommend products and suggest add-ons to customers.
• Merchandise and enforce company policies.
• Open and close the store, train new associates.
