Sandy City Recreation Center seeks part-time staff to organize, supervise and instruct a youth sports program under the Recreation Coordinator. The role will support activities for Street Hockey, Pickleball, Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball with morning and evening shifts.

Starting pay ranges from $17.44 to $27.91 per hour. This non-benefited position supports participants aged 15+ and emphasizes safety, teamwork and customer service.

Qualifikationen

• Requires some experience in job related activities.
• Must be 15 years of age or older to apply.
• Knowledge of games, sports, recreation activities, leadership, team building, and self-motivation skills and problem-solving skills: proper English usage, speaking, and teaching.
• A general knowledge of first aid and CPR.
• Responsible for the care, condition and use of materials, equipment, tools, etc.; educating participants to learn new skills in games, sports and other recreation activities; great responsibility for making decisions affecting the activities of people.
• Communication Skills: Contacts requiring tact and judgment to avoid friction and to handle complaints; frequent contacts involving the carrying out of the program; ability to communicate effectively with all age groups.
• Regular use of program equipment and occasional use of a copy machine and telephone.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
