Job summary

Open Arms Care is seeking a Part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Memphis, TN. The role focuses on evaluating and treating clients with speech, language, voice, and dysphagia disorders, with 12-20 hours per week and paid training.

The SLP will provide assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with the client’s support team to improve communication abilities in line with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Tennessee license as a speech-language pathologist (SBESLPA).
• ASHA certification: CCC-SLP.
• May be required to lift/transfer clients or assist with positioning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent evaluations to assess speech/language disorders and dysphagia.
• Develop clinical recommendations and strategies from observations/data.
• Participate in ISP meetings, circle of support, and review concerns.
• Collaborate with Circle of Support to plan activities to improve communication.
• Provide professional development on communication deficits and dysphagia hazards.
