Day Kimball Health in Danielson, CT is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our outpatient clinic. The role involves administering prescribed speech language therapy programs and contributing to patient assessment and treatment planning under supervision for first-year graduates.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, writing treatment plans, guiding patients in communication strategies, recording progress and communicating with physicians.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Connecticut licensure or licensure eligibility required.
• CCC in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• CPR certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients as prescribed by referring physician.
• Plan and prepare written treatment programs with short- and long-term goals.
• Instruct patients on communication strategies and use of assistive devices.
• Record evaluations, treatment, progress and discharge information in the patient's chart.
• Educate patients and families regarding condition, treatment and home program.
• Confer with physicians and other practitioners regarding progress and plan changes.
