Day Kimball Health in Danielson, CT, is hiring a Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist to administer prescribed speech-language therapy programs to help patients achieve their maximum functional potential. First-year graduates will be supervised by a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, CT license or license-eligible status, and CCC-SLP certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Connecticut license or license-eligible status.
• Current CCC in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current AHA CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients as prescribed by the referring physician.
• Plan and prepare written treatment programs with realistic, objective, long- and short-term goals and time frames.
• Instruct and assist patients to perform activities, use assistive communication devices, oral exercises, and functional activities.
• Record initial evaluation, treatment, response, progress, and discharge information in patient records.
• Assess need and recommend related therapies (Physical, Occupational, audiological, visual).
• Educate patients and families regarding condition, treatment, and home program.
• Confer with physicians and other practitioners regarding progress or changes.
