Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is hiring a Paraeducator Level I to support special education students at Summit Hall Elementary School in Gaithersburg, MD. The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred), and may have ParaPro credentials or equivalent tested requirements, along with related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• ParaPro/related credential or passing ParaPro assessment required.
• Minimum 48 college credits with related experience acceptable.
• Two to four years of relevant experience with children and adolescents encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Support instructional program and classroom management for students with IEPs.
• Assist with learning activities and adapt materials to diverse needs.
• Monitor student behavior and ensure safety and engagement.
• Perform clerical tasks to support teachers and staff.
