Job summary

Cache County School District is seeking an Aide – SPED Essential Elements to support students with severe disabilities in the classroom. This part-time role is about 20 hours per week.

Under supervision of the classroom teacher, you will adapt activities, assist with daily living tasks, monitor safety, and help implement IEP goals.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a commitment to student health and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Job-related experience is required.
• Ability to provide health-related assistance and personal care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities and materials to reinforce instructional objectives.
• Assist students with severe disabilities in completing instructional tasks and daily living activities.
• Provide health-related assistance and personal care as directed by professionals.
• Monitor students during classroom and school activities to support safety and behavior goals.
• Participate in implementing IEP goals and instructional plans.
• Maintain instructional materials and records.
• Observe and document student progress and communicate with staff.
• Attend meetings and training sessions related to special education services.
• Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate to support goals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
