Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part-Time Specimen Collector in Metairie, LA. You will collect patient urine and/or oral fluid samples, process and package them for shipping, and act as a liaison between clinics and the laboratory.

The ideal candidate has 6+ months of collection experience or 1+ year in a medical setting, plus strong computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to HIPAA and security standards. Driving between facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in a medical field supporting patients
• 2+ years of customer service experience can substitute for medical experience
• Must navigate smartphone and computer effectively

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as liaison between clinics and the laboratory
• Record patient information and relevant lab details
• Resolve specimen issues with billing or patient data
• Maintain collection supplies on site
• Observe collection procedures for Millennium Health specimens
• Duties may require driving between facilities
