Point Quest, Inc. seeks an Instructional Assistant in Duarte, CA for a part-time role. You will support students with special needs in K-12 settings, implement behavior intervention plans, and provide one-on-one instructional support to help students succeed in the classroom.

Collaborating with teachers, you will assist with various activities, monitor student progress, and help maintain a safe, positive learning environment while building relationships with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a school or treatment setting with students needing support is preferred.
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance required.
• Pro-ACT, CPI intervention training, and/or CPR certification preferred.
• Proficient with standard software applications and internet.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Instructional Support: Work with small groups or individuals to assist with lesson assignments.
• Environment Management: Maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Monitoring: Oversee students in classroom, library, or playground to ensure safety.
• Activity Assistance: Help with activities like art, literacy, and motor skills.
• Clerical Tasks: Support with record keeping, typing, and use of instructional media.
• Relationship Building: Build cooperative relationships with parents, students, and teachers.
