Qualifications

• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Assists preschool/exceptional children on and off the bus.
• Escorts children across street upon return home.
• Ensures a responsible adult meets students leaving the bus.
• Lifts children as required.
• Operates equipment including wheelchairs and tie-downs.
• Assists parents and school personnel with loading/unloading.
• Coordinates seating of exceptional students.
• Documents student information and records with driver.
• Participates in professional development as assigned.
• Monitors students while bus is in operation.
• Learns and applies Emergency Evacuation procedures.
• Communicates with classroom staff and parents regarding student needs.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
• Understands and relates to children with special needs.
• Maintains cooperative working relationships.
