• Use innovative approaches and instructional strategies including technology to increase student learning
• Follow district policies when working with students, parents and colleagues
• Attend and participate in faculty meetings and activities
• Maintain and improve professional competence through development activities
• Plan and instruct study skills, social skills (Social Thinking Program), bullying prevention and behavior skills
• Write goals, objectives and progress reports for students’ IEPs using ESPED
• Collaborate with general education teachers to understand classroom needs and provide copies of IEPs
• Maintain student data, notes and progress in binders
• Maintain effective school-to-home communication
• Develop and disseminate staff and student schedules
• Participate actively in team meetings
• Maintain confidentiality in all settings
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal
