Job summary

Sioux Center Community School District in Sioux Center, IA, is seeking a Special Education Para-Professional to support teachers and students in our Intermediate School. Qualifications

• Must have a High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to work well with people.
• Ability to organize and maintain files and materials.
• Desirable: past para-professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in the learning environment and support teachers.
• Maintain group discipline in classroom and during activities.
• Organize education materials and ideas for lessons.
• Build positive relationships with students.
• Mentor students on study and life skills.
• Monitor student activities and assist with behavior management.
• Participate in staff training programs.
