Under the supervision of a certified teacher, you will assist with lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, ensure safety and confidentiality, and help with classroom and office duties.

Maintain a positive learning environment and respond to the individual needs of allstudents.
Implement effective lessonsunder the direction and supervision of a certified teacher.
Ensure that district policies are observed during all activities.
Create a safe classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
Perform duties under the direction of the building principal keeping all children closely supervisedat all times.
Be familiar with, and able to perform, all emergency procedures.
Perform office or classroom duties as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality as defined by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Exhibit good judgment and use appropriate languageand behavior.
Ability to work with students of various abilities and special needs
Abide bystate statutes, school board policies and regulations.
Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
