Job summary

Jordan Catholic School in Rock Island, Illinois is seeking a dedicated Special Education/Intervention Teacher for a part-time role (10-15 hours). The teacher will support K–4 students with learning differences within a faith-based, inclusive environment and collaborate with families and colleagues to promote academic and social-emotional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid teaching license/certification in Special Education or Intervention.
• Experience with diverse learners including learning disabilities and behavioral disorders.
• Pass drug screening and criminal background check.
• Ability to collaborate with students, teachers and parents/guardians.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators and parents to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with disabilities.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and monitor progress.
• Provide small group and one-on-one instruction for academic and behavioral needs.
• Assess and monitor progress; adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Communicate with staff and families about student progress and strategies.
• Support behavior intervention plans when needed.
• Incorporate Catholic identity into classroom instruction.
