Job summary

Sts. John & Paul School in Larchmont, NY is seeking a dedicated Middle School Spanish Teacher to join our Catholic school community.

This part-time position covers grades 5–8, with a schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, offering per diem compensation based on degree ($243–$248 per day). Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
• New York State teaching certification (or eligibility) preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written Spanish.
• Experience teaching middle school students is preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills, with a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Spanish instruction for middle school students (Grades 5–8) aligned with curriculum standards.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and language acquisition.
• Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration.
