Job summary

Bentley University is seeking a part-time Adjunct Lecturer in Spanish for the Fall 2026 semester. The position requires an MA and native or near-native Spanish, with classes offered between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Monday-Wednesday and Tuesday-Friday.

The lecturer will teach Spanish Basic and Intermediate courses, create engaging learning environments, deliver outcomes, and participate in program assessment. Office hours are expected.

Qualifications

• MA required.
• Native or near-native competency in Spanish.
• At least two years of teaching experience.
• Experience using and developing a range of learning materials.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish Basic and Intermediate courses.
• Create an effective classroom environment that fosters students’ curiosities and abilities to practice their language skills.
• Deliver course content that meets learning outcomes and encourage students’ active participation in the classroom and beyond.
• Promote the study of languages, including the Language, Culture and Business major.
• Collaborate in the development and continued assessment of learning outcomes for use in program reviews and curriculum revision.
• Hold office hours.
