Job summary

Wayland Baptist University in San Antonio seeks an Adjunct Instructor of Spanish to teach one 3-hour course this semester, under the supervision of the Dean or Campus Dean.

The position is part-time and non-exempt, with responsibilities including class preparation, promotion of academic programs, and attending department meetings. A Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in Spanish or a terminal degree is required, and prior teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree required in area of instruction or any master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in area of instruction.
• Terminal Degree is required for Graduate courses and preferred for Undergraduate.
• Endorsement by the Dean or Executive Director/Campus Dean and the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
• Recent high school or University experience as an instructor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach one 3-hour course.
• Assist in promoting the academic programs and involvement with community activities.
• Attend scheduled department meetings.
• Employee may perform other related duties as assigned by the Dean or Executive Director/Campus Dean.
