Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Indianapolis, IN, is hiring for a Part-time Sortation position at the 5851 Guion Rd distribution center. The role supports movement of product, organizes outgoing orders, and prepares shipments for loading into totes and pallets. The schedule offers up to 28 hours per week with two shift blocks.

Ideal candidates are reliable, detail oriented, capable of using RF scanners and computers, and able to lift 25–50 lbs (up to 100 lbs). A drug screen is required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product.
• Organize shipments into correct containers.
• Pack product in layers to ensure stability and space efficiency.
• Identify fragile product and process accordingly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Comply with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations.
• Participate in activities and programs supporting health, safety and sustainability goals.
• Complete required environmental health and safety trainings.
