Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member in Software Development to join our Indianapolis campus. The role entails delivering scheduled courses, leveraging technology to enhance learning, and adjusting materials as needed to meet course objectives.

You will maintain records, engage with students, and implement effective teaching strategies within FERPA guidelines. The position is part-time and operates within a supportive benefits framework for part-time staff, including

Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in software development or a related field as appropriate to the program.
Bachelor’s degree in software development or related field with 18 semester hours beyond the introductory level.
Professional certification or two years of in-field professional employment.

Responsibilities

Deliver assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
Make optimal use of technology to enhance instructional methods.
Supplement and alter lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials as appropriate.
Maintain accurate student records and grades.
Engage with students proactively and regularly to support learning.
Demonstrate teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning.
Interact professionally with students and coworkers per College policies.
Promote a safe, inclusive educational environment.
