Job summary

Fluvanna County Public Schools Athletics/Activities Department in Palmyra, Virginia, seeks an Assistant Athletic Coach - Softball. This part-time, stipend position reports to the Head Coach, Athletic Director and Principal and requires knowledge of school athletic policies.

Responsibilities include assisting with supervision of athletes before, during and after practices and games; coordinating with maintenance; keeping team records and supporting conditioning programs.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma.
• Valid Virginia Driver's License.
• Successful coaching experience in the assigned sport is preferred.
• Valid Virginia Teaching License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of student/athletes before, during, and after practice and/or games.
• Assist head coach in preparation for scheduled sports events or practices and adhere to facility times.
• Provide documentation to athletic director for physical examinations, parental consent, and eligibility.
• Maintain discipline and safeguard equipment and facilities.
• Plan and implement conditioning and weight programs.
