Sportyard is seeking a video editor in Charleston who turns raw footage into engaging content focused on retention. This role emphasizes storytelling and pacing over pure graphics to hook viewers.

Work spans Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok (15–60s) and longer YouTube videos (3–8 minutes). You will watch footage, identify the strongest narrative, and craft compelling edits with captions and sound design.

Qualifications

• Proficient in editing for social platforms (Reels/TikTok/Shorts).
• Ability to craft story-driven edits with strong hooks and pacing.
• Experience with captions, sound design, and color correction.

Responsibilities

• Turn raw Sportyard footage into finished content for social and YouTube.
• Create 15–60 second social edits and longer 3–8 minute YouTube videos.
• Watch footage, determine the strongest storytelling approach, and edit accordingly.
• Incorporate captions and music to enhance retention.
