Job summary

The School of Education at Marquette University seeks a part-time adjunct instructor/lecturer to teach EDUC 4337: Theories and Methods of Elementary/Middle Social Studies and Social Inquiry. The position requires in-person delivery and is housed within the undergraduate Teacher Education program.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.
• Experience teaching in K-12 environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication and proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach weekly classes
• Evaluate student learning using appropriate assessment methods and College of Education program evaluation system
• Maintain and submit accurate and current records concerning student accountability, attendance, and performance
• Maintain a student-oriented approach to education
• Provide opportunities for individual consultation and feedback for students in the course
• Provide frequent communication with students on their progress in the course
• Uphold professional and ethical standards and adhere to University policies and procedures
