Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is hiring a part-time Social Services Coordinator to support residents in senior housing, Monday through Friday. The role focuses on coordinating home and community-based services, conducting needs assessments, and crisis intervention while maintaining confidentiality.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in human services, strong communication and organizational skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field required.
• Background check clearance required.
• Experience working with older adults and entitlements preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent organization and PC/computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide needs assessments, crisis intervention, and case management to residents while maintaining confidentiality.
• Serve as a resource for the Housing Manager and maintain contacts in the community.
• Arrange educational programs for residents and staff.
• Maintain files in accordance with HUD and LSSI requirements and accurately complete all reports in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations with dignity and respect.
