Location: Washington, Washington, D.C.Job Type: ContractCompensation Range: $29 - 32 per hourOur client, a global non-profit organization, is seeking a Social Media Designer with 2+ years of experience to create mission-driven digital content-including social graphics, short-form videos, and written posts-for nonprofit-focused campaigns. This fully remote, part-time contract (20 hrs/week, EST/CST hours) offers flexible hours, with weekly project-based deadlines and the potential to extend beyond the initial 2-month term. Ideal candidates will have a strong social media portfolio and light video editing skills; nonprofit or global health experience is a plus.Responsibilities:
Create and manage compelling, mission-aligned content for social channels, including short-form videos, graphics, and written posts based on team-provided direction, with the opportunity to pitch creative ideas.
Design visually engaging social media graphics using brand-aligned templates and assets.
Produce and edit short-form videos and reels for key campaigns and updates.
Support Administrative And Organizational Tasks As Needed, Including
Organizing and lightly editing B-roll footage.
Curating and maintaining key photo galleries.
Assisting with other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
2-3 years of professional experience in digital content creation or social media.
Proficiency In Industry-standard Design And Video Editing Software, Including
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
Canva and/or other social design tools.
CapCut or similar tools for mobile-first video editing.
Strong understanding of current social media trends, especially for Instagram and LinkedIn.
Detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a nonprofit and/or global health setting is a plus, but not required.
