Job summary

Cape Abilities is seeking a part-time Marketing & Communications Associate to cover a staff leave. The role focuses on creating engaging social media graphics, photos, and copy to reflect Cape Abilities, Cape Abilities Farm, and Cape Abilities Thrift.

On-site visits are required at the Lyndon Center (Hyannis), the Farm (Dennis), and the Thrift Store (West Yarmouth) to capture content. Potential for continued content creation work aligned with our mission.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, content creation, or a related field.
• Strong visual sensibility and ability to create compelling photos, graphics, and copy.
• Photography skills; smartphone OK; DSLR a plus.
• Proficiency in Canva or a comparable design tool.
• Proficiency in social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube.
• Strong copywriting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and ramp up quickly with existing systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly to Cape Abilities locations.

Responsibilities

• Create graphics, short-form videos, and posts for social media channels.
• Write copy in Cape Abilities' voice.
• Coordinate with Farm and Thrift staff to gather content; post periodically.
• Maintain posting cadence and brand standards.
