Job summary

The Children’s Guild, Inc. seeks a part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support students in a Prince Georges County, MD program. The SLPA will work under a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver services and progress on IEP goals in school settings.

Responsibilities include documentation, service delivery per IEP, collaboration with classroom staff and families, and ongoing professional development to maintain licensure and stay current with COMAR regulations.

Qualifications

• The master's in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program is required.
• Minimum of one year of full-time post-master's pediatric SLP experience preferred.
• Maryland SLP assistant license/registration required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or eligibility; crisis management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documentation: timely development and writing of IEPs and progress notes.
• Service: provide SLP services per each student's IEP and collaborate with classroom staff.
• Communication: maintain open communication with parents/guardians and the IEP team.
• Professional Growth: participate in required trainings and supervision sessions.
