Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Registered Polysomnograph Technologist or RRT; if RRT, enrolled in or completed A-Step Online Self-Study Modules.
• One year experience in sleep center or respiratory therapy.
• BLS required.
• Ability to read, write and explain moderately complex information to staff and patients.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (written, verbal, telephone etiquette).
• Demonstrates technical skills to complete assignments; familiar with Word, Excel, and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Works independently performing PSG and other sleep studies with high quality.
• Keeps equipment in proper order and performs routine maintenance; reports problems.
• Selects recording montage(s) appropriate for each case and ensures high quality recordings.
• Assesses patient status before, during, and after testing to support care continuity.
• Operates all equipment efficiently and safely.
• Attentive to patient needs to meet expectations.
• Identifies additional project work as assigned by management.
