Job summary

Iowa Premium, a National Beef Company, in Tama, Iowa, seeks a Part-Time Slaughter Food Safety Technician for our Quality Assurance team. The role is on-site and requires availability Mon, Fri, Sat, with emphasis on food safety monitoring and sanitation practices.

The ideal candidate will have HACCP knowledge, strong communication skills, and ability to work in hot/cold environments. Hours are hourly and include holiday work. Applicants must be 18+ and eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
• Experience with email communications is preferred.
• Beef products knowledge is preferred.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Ability to withstand extreme hot/cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor carcasses and processing aids used in the slaughter process.
• Perform pre-operational environmental inspections and sampling assistance.
• Support with daily sanitation and production-related tasks.
• Communicate with production personnel to ensure safety and quality.
• This is an on-site, hourly, part-time position and requires holiday availability.
