Job summary

Iowa Premium, a National Beef Company in Tama, IA, is seeking individuals for a part-time Fabrication Quality Assurance Technician in our Quality Assurance department. This on-site role involves monitoring product quality and ensuring compliance with specs at the end of production lines.

The ideal candidate will know HACCP, have strong communication skills, be able to use email and Excel, and be comfortable working in beef-processing environments.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Knowledge of HACCP Process (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
• Experience with email communications.
• Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Beef products knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to withstand extreme hot/cold environments.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product quality on end-of-production lines and inspect pieces for specifications.
• Fill out an audit report form and record observations.
• Follow and help enforce GMPs and SOPs and sanitation practices.
• Perform metal detector auditing and E.coli sampling (N60) and related duties.
