Job summary

Santa Clara County Office of Education seeks a part-time, in-person Education Interpreter to provide highly specialized language interpretation and translation services for students and staff in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing program. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Education interpreter waiver issued by California State Board of Education required for Education Interpreter I.
• RID certification or EIPA 4.0+ (Education Interpreter II) required.
• Passing score on proficiency exam for reading, writing and mathematics skills test of the County Office of Education.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialized language interpretation and translation services for students and staff in the DHOH program.
• Serve as a member of the educational team and support student access.
