Job summary

Hudson’s Furniture in Tampa, FL is seeking a capable team member to support showroom and furniture operations. The role involves frequent lifting, moving furniture, and maintaining a clean, welcoming space for customers and staff.

You’ll help with displays, deliveries, and floor moves while ensuring safety and organization. The position requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance, and good communication within a team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with furniture displays and showroom maintenance.
• Move and arrange furniture throughout the showroom and warehouse.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and loading/unloading trucks.
• Perform floor moves of existing furniture and placement of new furniture.
• Aim showroom lighting and replace bulbs as needed.
• Keep showroom floors clean and organized, ensuring a customer-ready environment.

What You’ll Do

This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that involves frequent lifting, moving, pushing, and rearranging furniture, along with routine cleaning and general showroom maintenance. You'll assist with furniture displays and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for customers and team members.

Showroom & Furniture Support

• Assist the Visual Merchandiser or Store Manager with setting up furniture displays and maintaining the showroom’s appearance
• Move and arrange furniture throughout the showroom and warehouse
• Assist with receiving deliveries and loading and unloading trucks
• Perform floor moves of existing furniture and placement of new furniture
• Aim showroom lighting and replace bulbs as needed

Store Appearance & Upkeep

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain showroom floors
• Clean and maintain restrooms, break areas, and common spaces
• Wash windows and glass surfaces to keep displays looking their best
• Dust furniture and décor displays
• Remove trash and break down cardboard from deliveries
• Help keep the stockroom and showroom clean, organized, and safe

You will work closely with store leadership to ensure the store remains clean, organized, and customer-ready at all times.
