Job summary

Roommate Collective in Austin, TX is seeking a part-time shop assistant to support daily retail operations in our brick & mortar. You will be the friendly first point of contact and help ensure a welcoming shopping experience.

Responsibilities include opening and closing duties, inventory management, and assisting customers while learning about our brands to educate shoppers. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1+ years retail or equivalent experience
• College student at least through their sophomore year of school
• Lives in or near Austin, Texas and must have reliable transportation
• Weekly availability and flexibility during our shop's open hours
• Weekend availability is a must - including holidays
• Must be able to commit for at least 6 months or longer

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming experience for all customers and provide support
• Become an expert with the Roommate Collective brands and educate customers on brands and products
• Daily opening and closing duties including cleaning, inventory management and more
• Support with other shop duties as needed

Job description

The Roommate Collective is looking for support with a part-time shop assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations in our brick & mortar with a focus on our daily retail shop operations.

Our weekly open hours are currently Monday- Sundays (closed on Tuesdays). We are looking for people who are available for 1-2 shifts a week (weekend availability is prefered).

We are also looking for more super part time people who are able to work 1-2 shifts per month! This person would be helpful for events and busier weekend!
