Hansen’s IGA Market in West Salem, WI is seeking a part-time Shift Manager for the second shift. You will support store leadership in the absence of the Store Manager, supervise staff, and ensure excellent guest service across departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old due to operating store equipment.
• Experience with food handling and cooking in grocery setting; leadership experience preferred.
• Eagerness to interact with customers.
• Strong sense of teamwork and ability to anticipate team needs.
• Knowledge of local/state health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, efficient manner.
• Adaptability to changing conditions and priorities.
• Ability to take initiative and make decisions under supervision.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers throughout the store while modeling company culture and delivering best-in-class service.
• Provide consistent, friendly service when answering questions and resolving complaints.
• Lead store areas on a daily basis, applying effective management techniques.
• Maintain store conditions, ensure perishables are full and fresh, and uphold sanitation standards.
• Handle opening/closing duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Coordinate daily needs and production schedules with departments.
• Assist with staffing needs and training of new associates as needed.
• Support with receiving and stocking daily deliveries and inventory.
• Create attractive department displays and end caps based on weekly sales.
• Assist with ordering and inventory management per manager directions.
• Support store promotional events and staff development.
