Job summary

Sewardcountyks in Liberal, KS is seeking a dedicated part-time Sheriff Deputy to join our law enforcement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining law and order, preventing crime, protecting life and property, and enforcing laws.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
• 2-week Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC) certification within 1 year of hire.
• Valid driver's license required or attainable within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Predominately work events and special campaigns.
• Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed.
• Investigate crimes and accidents.
• Arrest suspects and testify in court.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain records.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies.
