Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Shelter Screening Specialist in Silver Spring, MD. This part-time role offers a pay rate of $22.09 per hour with day and weekend shifts using the Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities include visitor screening, conducting bag checks, controlling access, and responding to incidents to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Minimum requirements apply, including a HS diploma and applicable licensing.

Formación

• Two years of service in healthcare or medical-related field.
• Five years of security-related experience.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals, visitors, and items entering the facility according to access control procedures and policies.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct bag inspections, escalating prohibited items per protocol.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
